Deep Relaxation of the Mind & Body

Complementary Therapies

Complementary Therapies, a type of healing which considers the person as a whole rather than just a condition or a symptom.  It takes into account the Mind, Body and Spirit and the emotions in the hope of seeking optimal health and well-being.  Our ultimate aim is a state of Homeostasis, where our body as a whole is in balance.

Practitioners look at a client as a whole as we believe an individual is made up of intertwining connections, so if one part of the body is out of sync, this can impact greatly on a person’s overall health.

The treatment/s are all chosen with an ultimate goal in mind, to rid people of the day to day pressures, anxiety and stress of daily life.  Most conditions derive from stress and the trauma it has on the body.  Stress is an accumulation of constant worry and imbalance whereby we get to a stage that we can no longer cope.  By dealing with the stress before it gets that far, we have a far greater way of easing the symptoms so that it doesn’t do any long-lasting harm to our Mind, Body and Spirit.

These therapies can work alongside medical interventions and should not replace the specific and individual advice your own GP has given you.

I’m Jo-Anne Harding and I own Zoneology Reflexology.  I work from the comfort of peoples’ homes and offices and have a treatment room in Essex and will be operating from London & Hertfordshire sometime in 2021.  I have worked in an office environment since I was 17 and running my own P.A. business for 9 years serving industries such as construction, legal and financial, I decided that I wanted to follow my passion of holistic therapies and go back to my old life working in the beauty industry.

I started to recognise the abundance of stress in peoples lives and how difficult it was for people to get out of it once there were in it.  Often the longer we live with stress the tougher it is to help ourselves and to seek help.  Stress has an impact on yourself, family, work, friends, your general day to day life and more importantly, your health.

I knew a little about reflexology and the benefits it could bring.  I loved the idea of it being totally non-invasive and as with holistic therapies, allows your own body to get you back into a state of Homeostasis…. Balance.

I trained at The London School of Reflexology with the Principal, Louise Keet PGCE MAR (Author of The Reflexology Bible) and after the first lecture, I was hooked and fell in love with the concept and how incredible the treatment made me feel.  At the time, I suffered terribly with insomnia, stress, asthma and crippling frequent headaches,  after my second treatment I was sleeping through the night, my third, I felt I could manage my stress better, my fifth, my asthma improved and my headaches subsided.

I love reflexology because I know it works.  I signed up to the course without ever having a treatment.  A bit risky?  Maybe…… but something guided me and I am thankful that it did.

My mantra is ‘prevention is better than cure’.

I am passionate about bringing reflexology and holistic therapies to everyone.  Most holistic therapies are beneficial to everyone (unless there is a health condition or contraindication to prevent you from having treatments).
